MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Al-Shabaab fighters attacked two military bases housing Somali National Army early on Saturday morning as the country’s leaders gather in Mogadishu for talks on elections stalemate.
The bases located just 100km southwest of the capital, Mogadishu were targeted by two massive explosions, according to witnesses.
Reports say a third explosion hit a convoy of reinforcements rushing to the bases from the capital after the assault.

“We captured 6 vehicles including 4 technicals, weapons and military equipment,” Abu Musab said.
