The armed militant group said via affiliated media that 20 Kenyan soldiers had been in a roadside blast targeting a military vehicle in Garissa County on Saturday.
A separate roadside bomb attack struck a convoy of Kenyan troops on the road linking Milimani and Mangay villages in the coastal County of Lamu, according to insurgents, who did not say if there were casualties.
