NAIROBI (Somaliguardian) – An Ethiopian military commander and a group of his soldiers fleeing the escalating clashes between the Ethiopian defense forces backed by Eritrean army and Amhara militias, and Tigray forces surrendered to the Sudanese border guards, Al Sharq news website reported on Sunday.

It came after fighting on Sunday closed in on the Sudanese border. As a result, authorities in Khartoum urged aid agencies to evacuate Hamdayet reception centers for refugees fleeing the Ethiopian conflict, for fear of their safety.
