Kenya Fears Possible Aviation Attack by Al-Shabaab

Kenya

NAIROBI (Somaliguardian) – Police in Kenya have raised fears that the Somalia-based militant group Al-Shabaab is planning 9/11 style attacks inside the capital, Nairobi and urged public to volunteer information that may lead to the arrest of a wanted man.

In a statement, Kenyan security agencies appealed to members of the public to provide information leading to the capture of Rashid Mwalimu, who is wanted by the anti-terrorism police.

Mwalimu, who is currently in Somalia, should be considered dangerous since he is a trained pilot who is on a mission to carry out an aviation attack on behalf of the Al-Shabaab militant group, security officials said.
