WASHINGTON (Somaliguardian) – US President Joe Biden received Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud at the White House, Villa Somalia said on Sunday, a week after the Somali leader departed on his first visit to Washington since his re-election.
Mohamud thanked to the United States for its relentless support in the fight against Al-Qaeda-linked militant group Al-Shabaab, which has been waging an insurgency campaign for more than a decade to topple the Western-backed government based in Mogadishu.
