MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – At least 7 civilians including children were killed in a US drone strike targeting a village in central Somalia’s Hiran region on Monday, Caasimada Online news website reported.
The strike hit a residential area in the village of Qura’ley near the town of Jalalaqsi in the central region of Hiran. Ahmed Mohamed Nur, Abdikadir Mohamed Nur and Qays Mohamed Nur were three brothers killed by the air raid.
US military has not immediately commented on the strike, which comes months after another US drone strike killed at least 5 civilians in the Lower Shabelle region.
