MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s Deputy Information Minister Abdirahman Al-Adala said on Monday a “coup” was in progress in the capital Mogadishu after troops had been deployed to take over the Prime Minister’s office following an announcement by the President that he had suspended Mohamed Hussein Roble over corruption probe.
One of the Prime Minister’s key allies, Al-Adala stressed that the move could open a new door and the coup attempt would fail. He gave no further details.
