MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – The government of Djibouti officially sided with Somalia in escalating tensions with Ethiopia over a recent memorandum of understanding it had signed with the breakaway region of Somaliland to gain access to a leased land along the Red Sea.
“The Council reiterates its unwavering principle of #Somalia’s Unity, Territorial Integrity and Sovereignty,” Djiboutian Minister of Finance Ilyahas Dawaleh said on Tuesday following a cabinet meeting.
“The Council reiterates its commitment to a harmonious path of regional economic integration and collective wellbeing.”
