MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Egypt said on Monday it rejected a memorandum of understanding that Ethiopia had signed with the break-away region of Somaliland in January to gain access to a parcel of land along the Red Sea.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, standing alongside his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, expressed support for Somalia’s unity and territorial integrity.
“We reiterate our total rejection of the MoU,” he added.
