NAIROBI (Somaliguardian) – Ethiopia and Eritrea are planning to launch another joint offensive against Tigrayan forces in the northern war-wrecked region of Tigray, nearly two years after a similar invasion ignited the conflict there, TPLF spokesman Getachew Reda said on Saturday.
“Abiy has ordered his Eastern Command to cross border and join their Eritrean handlers in what’ll be yet another attempt at a 2nd round of their genocidal campaign against Tigray,” TPLF spokesman tweeted.
“Whether that’d mean anything on the ground, let’s cross the bridge when we come to it. Those who have been bending our ears about Abiy’s readiness for peace would’ve to think twice though!,” he added.
Getachew said a recent “ill-fated offensive” launched by the Ethiopian military in the Southern front “was not just off to a bad start but Tigray Forces are holding their ground and MORE.”
