MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – The office of Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on Tuesday denied reports suggesting that Addis Ababa is planning to cancel a controversial memorandum of understanding with the break-away region of Somaliland which grants it access to a leased land along the Red Sea.
“The PMO advises the public to be cautious of fake content circulating online about an MOU with Somaliland. Official communications on local, regional, and int’l matters are only through PMO’s official channels,” the office of Ethiopian Prime Minister said in a statement on X.
“Stay vigilant against such fake content misusing our official logo.”
