MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo wished Turkey’s leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan a “speedy recovery” in a Twitter post on Saturday night, hours after he said he had tested positive for the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with you both and the brotherly Turkish people,” Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo tweeted.
Erdoğan said hours earlier on Saturday that he and his wife had tested positive for coronavirus after “showing mild symptoms”. “We will continue our work at home. We look forward to your prayers,” he added.
