MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – France’s ambassador to Kenya and Somalia Arnaud Suquet met Somaliland President Muse Bihi Abdi, hours after landing at Hargeisa airport on Monday, the break-away region’s state TV reported.
The two discussed bilateral relations and cooperation on key forefronts between France and the break-away region amid escalating tensions in the region over Somaliland’s controversial deal with Ethiopia that grants Addis Ababa access to a leased land along the Red Sea.
Security and upcoming presidential elections were among the other issues that Bihi and France’s ambassador discussed.
