Plane carrying supplies for AU peacekeepers veers off runway in south Somalia

MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – A cargo plane carrying supplies for African Union peacekeepers veered off runway at an airstrip in south Somalia’s Jowhar town, about 90km north of the capital Mogadishu, state media reported on Saturday.

The C-130 cargo plane flied from Entebbe Airport in Uganda ran off the runway at an airstrip manned by African Union troops outside the town early on Saturday morning but no one was hurt, officials said.
