MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Puntland Minister of Information Mohamud Dirir has lobbed a blistering attack on Somali president, accusing him of obstructing development projects meant for the semi-autonomous region. This comes in the wake of the Somali government’s accusation that regional president President Saeed Abdullahi Deni had refused to accept funds allocated for the region.
“Hassan Sheikh is a predator, he obstructed all development projects that were planned to be implemented in Puntland,” Dirir said in an interview with local radio station.
“If he is not directly managing (the projects), he seeks to stymie their implementation, so he is a predator.”
