Somali ambassador storms out of meeting with Kenya’s president to protest Somaliland participation

MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somali ambassador to Kenya Mohamud Ahmed Nur, popularly known as Tarsan, stormed out of a meeting convened by Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta with foreign ambassadors on Tuesday to protest Somaliland’s participation.

After showing up for the meeting, Tarsan saw representatives from Somaliland office in Nairobi and the break-away region’s flag inside the venue. He has abruptly walked out of the venue where the Kenyan leader was expected to give a speech.

Somali government and its embassy in Kenya have not immediately commented on the move.
