MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somali parliament on Friday delayed a secession scheduled for Saturday, in which former President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo would be sworn in as an MP, due to security concerns after Al-Shabaab gunmen attacked a popular hotel in Mogadishu.
In text messages, MPs were informed that the session had been postponed, hours after Al-Shabaab attackers seized an upscale hotel frequented by officials in a siege that has left more than 15 people dead.
