MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo promised to pay the blood money of slain spy Ikran Tahlil if her family and clan agree to abandon her case, a man claiming to be the missing intelligent agent’s uncle said on Friday.

In a video circulated on social media, Dr Hassan Farah Ahmed said the president had met parliamentarian Dahir Amin Jesow and a well-known busimessman Hussein Dhubow and several traditional leaders, who are distant relatives of Ikran Tahlil’s family and urged them to drop case into the mysterious disappearance.

I am the real uncle of Ikran Tahlil [and] I want to inform the public that we will never take blood money. I am calling on parliamentarian Jesow and Hussein Dhubow to keep their hands off Ikran Tahlil’s case,” Dr Hassan Farah noted.

The mother of the missing female filed a case against officials, including intelligence boss Fahad Yasin and asked the country’s military court to issue an arrest warrant for those involved in the murder.
