MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo promised to pay the blood money of slain spy Ikran Tahlil if her family and clan agree to abandon her case, a man claiming to be the missing intelligent agent’s uncle said on Friday.
In a video circulated on social media, Dr Hassan Farah Ahmed said the president had met parliamentarian Dahir Amin Jesow and a well-known busimessman Hussein Dhubow and several traditional leaders, who are distant relatives of Ikran Tahlil’s family and urged them to drop case into the mysterious disappearance.
“I am the real uncle of Ikran Tahlil [and] I want to inform the public that we will never take blood money. I am calling on parliamentarian Jesow and Hussein Dhubow to keep their hands off Ikran Tahlil’s case,” Dr Hassan Farah noted.
The mother of the missing female filed a case against officials, including intelligence boss Fahad Yasin and asked the country’s military court to issue an arrest warrant for those involved in the murder.
