MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre on Monday inaugurated Somalia’s diaspora conference held in Qatar’s capital Doha amid the presence of Qatari State Minister of Foreign Affairs and other officials.
The conference is aimed at encouraging diaspora investment in the country and efforts to create conducive environment for those returning home to directly contribute to the economic growth of their war-torn nation.
Hours after the meeting kicked off, the Somali Premier met his Qatari counterpart Mohamed bin Abdirahman Al Thani, discussing ways to further strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation.
