MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble on Sunday ordered the release of $11.7 million from federal government accounts, which was part of an aid package designated for development projects in Somaliland, to contribute to the region’s efforts to mitigate the impact of a massive fire that had destroyed the largest market in Hargeisa.
Meanwhile, in a meeting with representatives of business companies, the government and businesspeople in Mogadishu donated $3 million to help those affected by the inferno at Hargeisa market.
