MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Italy has donated four Bell412 multipurpose military helicopters to Somalia, marking the most significant arms and equipment supply to Mogadishu since the UN arms embargo on the country was lifted last year.
A video circulating on social media showed the combat helicopters parked at Adan Adde International Airport in Mogadishu. This addition complements other helicopters previously supplied by partner countries, which are currently utilized for logistics and evacuating personnel injured in combat, enhancing Somalia’s operational capabilities.
