MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s army on Thursday recaptured the towns of Eldher and Mesagaway in the central regions of Galgadud, months after troops and allied clan militias vacated a number of towns due to setbacks in offensive against insurgents.
Somali government troops pulled out of the towns of Mesagaway, Run-nirgood, Eldher, El Bur and a number of others after insurgents overrun bases in Osweyne village in Galgadud region, killing dozens of soldiers , including commanders.
