MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s cabinet condemned a failed coup and an attempt to seize the office of the Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble, rallying their support behind his efforts to convene a meeting of the National Consultative Council, Information Minister Osman Abokor Dube said on Thursday.
During a meeting held on Thursday night, the ministers supported the Prime Minister in leading the country to free and fair elections, he added.
Dube stressed that the cabinet rallied their support behind efforts by the Premier to hold a meeting of the National Consultative Council, which is set to address transparency concerns on the ongoing parliamentary elections.
