Somalia’s cabinet recognizes separatism as national threat

MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s cabinet on Thursday endorsed a national security threat assessment document defining separatism, terrorism and foreign interference as national threats amid escalating tensions with the break-away region of Somaliland. 

Among the other issues the cabinet recognized as national threats are open borders, climate change, risks from cyber security and risks from social crisis.
