MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s former President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo on Friday traveled to Turkey in his first trip abroad since handing over power in May, his office said.
The duration of his Farmajo’s stay in Turkey has not yet been specified, but the former leader earlier promised that he would live in the capital Mogadishu.
In a post on his social media accounts, Farmajo sent condolences to the family, loved ones and the Somali public over the death of Mogadishu police chief Farhan Qarole, who was killed on Friday in an Al-Shabaab-claimed blast.
