MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s government on Saturday condemned deadly Al-Shabaab attack on an African Union military base that left dozens of soldiers dead on Friday.
“The Federal Government of Somalia conveys its deepest sympathies to the people and the leadership of the Republic of Uganda, the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia at large, as well as Somali Armed Forces,” Somalia’s government said in a statement.
The European Union also condemned the assault on the base housing Ugandan peacekeepers in the town of Bulo Mareer, about 120km south of the capital Mogadishu.
