TUNIS (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s Minister of Interior Abdullahi Mohamed Nur on Wednesday attended a meeting of Arab Interior Ministers Council in Tunisia’s capital in which Oman assumed its presidency in the presence of Tunisian leader Kais Saied and other officials.
“During our meeting today at the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in Tunis, we discussed the process of strengthening joint Arab action, developing cooperation and coordination between our countries, preserving the stability of the region, and contributing to laying the foundations for international peace and security,” Somali Interior Minister Abdullahi Mohamed Nur tweeted.
He also paid a courtesy call on Tunisian President Kais Saied at the presidential palace in Tunis, saying he was “honored to convey the greetings and appreciation” of the Somali leadership.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Mr Nur also held talks with his Iraqi counterpart and other Arab officials.
