MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre met the ambassador of the European Union Karin Johansson in Mogadishu on Wednesday to discuss key bilateral issues.
“During the meeting, PM Barre expressed his appreciation to the EU for the unwavering support it provides to Somalia, under the framework of the Joint Operational Roadmap; while emphasizing the need to expedite humanitarian and development interventions towards newly liberated communities in the country,” his office said in a statement.
“Ambassador Johansson on her side reassured EU’s commitment to support Somalia’s road to peace, prosperity and socio-economic stability.”
