MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre said on Saturday fresh troops from neighboring countries will join the fight against the Al-Qaeda-aligned militant group Al-Shabaab, Caasimada Online news website reported.
Speaking at the first anniversary of the African Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS), Barre thanked to the countries contributing troops to the mission for the sacrifice in helping Somali authorities fight Islamist insurgents.
