MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Thursday chaired a cabinet meeting, a day after more than 35 people were killed in twin car bombs in the town of Mahas in the central region of Hiran.
The President ordered ministers to cooperate on implementing government’s strategy in driving Al-Shabaab from vast swathes of territory it controls in south and central Somalia.
During the meeting, ministers passed a new law for the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), the first of its kind since it was established.
