MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud held a phone conversation with his Ugandan counterpart Yoweri Museveni amid simmering tensions with neighboring Ethiopia over a Red Sea access deal with the breakaway region of Somaliland, his office said on Friday.
“The call addressed bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest and Somalia-Uganda security cooperation,” Villa Somalia tweeted. “Under ATMIS, Uganda has been a steadfast ally in progress towards restoring peace and stability.”
