MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has delayed a trip to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where he would attend the annual meeting of the council of Arab and African countries of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden on September 11, Caasimada Online news website reported on Thursday.
Mohamud is expected to attend the inauguration of Kenyan new President William Ruto on September 13 and urged council members to postpone the meeting. He is due to hold talks with the Kenyan new leader on key bilateral issues.
Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Egypt, Yemen, Djibouti and Eritrea are members of the council.
