MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Tuesday held phone talks with Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah el-Sisi amid escalating tensions with Ethiopia over a sea access deal with Somaliland, his office said.
Mohamud “spoke with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of Egypt, congratulating him on his re-election,” Villa Somalia tweeted.
“They reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral relations, emphasizing the importance of uniting efforts to address shared challenges in the region.”
