MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Tuesday received at his office acting United Nations special representative to the Horn of Africa country James Swan.
“They discussed further enhancing the FGS-UN close partnership in critical areas, including humanitarian, peace, and security,” Villa Somalia said.
Swan, who previously served as UN ambassador to Somalia between 2019 and 2022 also held talks with Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, weeks after Somali authorities requested the termination of UN political mission in Mogadishu.
