MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud met his predecessor Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo in Qatar’s capital Doha, Villa Somalia said in a statement on Tuesday.
Mohamud briefed Farmajo about the current situation in the country and the ongoing military operations against the militant group Al-Shabaab aimed at dislodging the group from a number of districts in the south and central regions.
It is the first meeting between the two since Farmajo handed over power last year.
