MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Wednesday traveled to the United States where he is set to attend the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, hours after wrapping up a visit to neighboring Kenya.
Mohamud will deliver a speech at the session focusing on his government’s development agenda and plans on fight against terrorism, climate change and poverty.
During his visit, the Somali President is expected to meet with US government officials for talks on multifaceted cooperation, months after he promised to eliminate Al-Qaeda-linked insurgents.
