GAROWE (Somaliguardian) –Puntland’s president Saeed Abdillahi Deni speaking at a ceremony marking the 22nd anniversary from the establishment of the regional state warned of returning Somalia to another civil war.
The president described recent introduction of a judicial body as an “illegal” step taken without consultation with federal member states.
Speaking on oil, gas and mineral resources exploration contracts, he said international companies should take into consideration that the exploitation of auctioned national resources for personal benefits could put their businesses in great jeopardy.
Amidst growing concerns over upcoming elections, Mr Deni lambasted ouster of Somali prime minister Hassan Ali Khaire by parliament with only 3 months remaining before the terms of both executive and legislative branches expire.
