MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – The leader of the United Arab Emirates Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited Captain Mohamed Salem Al Nuaimi, who is receiving medical treatment at Zayed Military Hospital for injuries sustained in Al-Shabaab-claimed gun attack in Somalia last month, UAE’s new agency WAM reported on Saturday.
The attack claimed the lives of a number of UAE officers, a Bahraini military official and a Somali soldier, according to Abu Dhabi. Al-Shabaab claimed killing more than a dozen Emirati and other foreign military officials.
Bin Zayed “inquired about Captain Al Nuaimi’s health and wished him a speedy recovery, and was briefed by doctors on the progress of his treatment,” WAM said.
