MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – The United States on Sunday welcomed the confirmation of a cabinet appointed by Somalia’s Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre last week.
In a tweet, US embassy in Mogadishu congratulated Somali President and his Premier “on the confirmation of their selections for the new Cabinet.”
The United States said it was “eager to continue our engagement in support of Somalia’s revival” as the government of President Mohamud vows to eliminate the Islamist militant group Al-Shabaab and restore peace in the war-torn nation.
