Somali MP accuses government of corrupting funds allocated for Beledweyne emergency relief

(Somaliguardian-Mogadishu)-  A renowned member of the Somali parliament and an infamous former warlord, Mouse Sudi Yalahow, accused the Somali government of fraudulence and widespread corruption.

Mr. Yalow speaking at a session of the Upper House of the Somali Parliament criticized the way the government provided aid in the wake of the urgent situation in Hirshabelle regional state after the River steeped bursting its banks which caused tens of thousands of people to flee.

The senator speaking in a tone of fury stressed that Hirshabelle residents should not put their faith in the federal government –which has shot them on the back at the time of urgency and worst ever disaster the region experienced in its entire history.

Mouse Sudi Yalahow, a current member of the Somali Parliament who  just over a decade ago was a tarnished warlord that controlled parts of Mogadishu –conveyed accusations against the government of President Farmajo which included widespread corruption and misuse  of funds allocated in the emergency relief operations.
