Somali President Meets Oman’s New Leader Sultan Haitham

MUSCUT (Somaliguardian) –The Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo met with the new leader of Oman, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said following the death of the country’s longtime ruler Qaboos binu Said.

Farmajo travelled to Oman recently to mourn death of Qaboos bin Said and meet its new leader, Sultan Haitham.

In a meeting at the Sultan’s palace in Muscat, the two leaders discussed ways of further strengthening relations between the two countries which have long existing trade and diplomatic ties.

Earlier, the new leader of Oman promised to uphold his predecessor’s approach as a regional peacemaker and extend cooperation between Arab League member states which includes Somalia.
